Topic: 2026 Book-to-AI-Topics Synchronization Register
Purpose
This register prevents research developed or corrected during preparation of Henry Neville and the Works of Shakespeare from remaining trapped in the book project. It records the governing state of each material finding and routes readers to the live topic that now contains it.
Historical raw files, transcriptions, and dated research passes are preserved. Current topic packets, generated indexes, and factbooks must follow this register when older material conflicts with it.

Evidence-state rules carried forward from the book
- Documented fact, inference, and hypothesis remain separate. A network path is not proof of transmission; a listed book is not proof of acquisition by Henry Neville; a shared word is not authorship evidence by itself.
- Original quantitative research reports failed controls. The blind study failed its fixed primary threshold. The diplomatic study's unrestricted best-window scan and local-network analyses failed. Those results may not be omitted from later summaries.
- Historical freezes remain frozen. A v15 or v13 analytical input is not silently rerun or relabelled as v22. A v22 replication must be a new sensitivity analysis.
- Public-source discipline governs publication. research sources may guide discovery and preserve computations, but reader-facing historical claims require public, auditable authority.
- Audley End confidentiality is substantive. The public-exclusion flag is not cosmetic; no unpublished item-level annotation detail may leak into generated public products.
- Partisan authorship literature does not set the scholarly baseline. Source disputes are controlled by primary evidence and serious field scholarship.
Already-correct topics confirmed in this audit
- Southampton's birth, full age, minority at both dedications, and livery distinction were already fully updated on 27 August 2026.
- The two Bacon–Neville kinship routes were already accurately separated.
- The direct Windsor witch-trial packet already identified Elizabeth Bacon as the relevant stepmother and excluded Elizabeth Gresham from the 1579 episode.
- The Holinshed packet already treated the physical copy as a plausible family access route rather than proof that Neville read or annotated it; the relationship and location have now been made explicit at the top.
Maintenance rule
After any further book correction or original analysis, update the affected direct topic first, add or revise a row here, validate the corpus, regenerate TOPIC INDEX and TOPIC MASTER INDEX, and rebuild the ordinary, public, and internal factbooks. A book-only correction is not complete until this cycle has been run.
