This packet consolidates the play-level Othello material that had previously lived mainly in venice_newsletters_and_othello.md and othello_tweet_alignments.md.

The safe source model is three-part:

• Cinthio supplies the domestic plot kernel: Moor, wife, ensign, lieutenant/captain figure, false accusation, handkerchief, night attack, murder.
• The Italian newsletters and related Savile/Neville archive materials supply a strong procedural analogue for the Venetian state-intelligence frame: serial messengers, multiple letters, conflicting fleet numbers, Senate reasoning, Cyprus command, recall, and reporting back to Venice.
• Neville's French embassy letters supply contextual analogues, including the "shirt with sword" detail, but they should be kept distinct from the Cinthio and newsletter lanes.

Othello should be presented as a layered source problem. Cinthio explains the domestic tragedy. The newsletter dossier helps explain the official Venetian machinery that frames and interrupts that tragedy.
