The Jupiter evidence has three levels that should not be merged. The direct play text stages Jupiter descending in thunder and lightning, seated on an eagle and throwing a thunderbolt. Folger's introduction independently describes the episode as the appearance of Jupiter in a vision. The Lower–Harriot–Galileo material documents a contemporary astronomy network, but neither the scene nor the Folger description names Jupiter's satellites.

This gives a clean factual formulation: Cymbeline contains a visually explicit Jupiter epiphany; Neville corresponded with William Lower; Lower belongs to the Harriot telescope circle; and a direct transmission from that astronomy to the scene has not been shown. 2. Jupiter Apparition, Not Jupiter's Moons

• What it proves: the play has a major staged Jupiter intervention, including descent, eagle, thunderbolt, and Our Jovial star.
